GASSED DURING WAR. An inquest concerning' the death of a middle-aged man, Peter George, who was found dead In the doorway of a bach at 104, Nelson Street, on Thursday afternoon, was opened before the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., yesterday. Evidence was. given that George lived as a recluse. He was seen alive shortly after two o'clock yesterday afternoon, and seven minutes later was found dead, apparently having collapsed. He was a single man and a returned- soldier. He often complained of a bad cough and said that lie had been badly gassed in the war. The inquest was adjourned.
