MINE MANAGER'S REPORT.

llataki.—Under date 28th inst the dredgemaster reports as follows: The dredge worked 130 hours on a face of 450 ft, putting through during this period 13,000 yards o£ material, the average depth of the ground worked being ISft. This return was obtained across the full face, half time being worked in the river nnd half in the bank. The shallow ground of the river has begun to flip, the wash showing signs of improvement, but in the bank prospects are about the same.
