A TENTATIVE AGREEMENT. An lnqulryinto the dispute between the Tnangahna gold miners and the Blackwater Mines, Ltd., was heard by the Conciliation Commissioner (Mr. S. Ititehic) in CUrlstchurch Inst week. The hearing was taken in committee.

A previous Bitting of the council was held at Reefton, when the hearing was adjourned to Chrlstchurch.

A tentative agreement was reached on all matters except wages and the allowance for working in wet places. At the conclusion of the sitting It was announced that certain proposals were to be submitted to the workers at Waluta.
