GIRL ABDUCTED.
GFFENCE BY HALF-CASTE. TWO YEARS' PROBATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) XEW PLYMOUTH, this day. A half caste native, John Southorn, who yesterday pleaded guilty to a charge of abducting a Maori girl, was admitted this morning to two years' probation. Mr. W. H. Woodward," S.M., said the case was not one of the more serious typo of abductions, as the girl was a consenting party. He made it a condition of the probation that Southorn should have no communication with the girl without her parents' consent.
