VERDICT UPSET.
BAG WRONGLY IDENTIFIED. (By Telegraph.— Correspondent.) HAMILTON", this day. The case last week in which Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., convicted John Augustus Quiim for the theft of a bag and sentenced him to 21 days in gaol, was upset fo-day when, after a rehearing, the magistrate dismissed the information. Freeh evidence was produced to show that the bag was wrongly identified.
