MANUKAU AMATEURS. Bright sunshine, tempered by a cool southerly breeze, made for good racing conditions on Saturday, when the Manukau Amateur Cycling Club held its two j road races. Junior and senior road events were conducted bv the Auckland Cycle Club at Tainaki on Saturday, the former's distance being 5£ miles, while the seniors raced 25 miles. LYNNDALE AMATEURS.

Ideal weather conditions prevailed on Saturday for the Lynndale Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club's road races. Some 25 senior and junior riders faced the starter, Mr. J. McDonald. The junior event of three miles resulted: Gordon Helliwell, 1.30, 1; Harry Robertson, 1.10, - ; Bill Burrows, 1.45, 3; Kay Hansen, I.ID, 4 ; Fred Eupton, 1.45, 5 ; Bob Kircher, 1.1.j, 6. Fastest time: H. Robertson, 1. G. Helliwell, 9.17, ; C. Boles, 9.-4,^3. The seniors rode over a course or -71 miles, riding tliree laps of their 7-nule circuit and one lap of 0} miles circuit. The weather was excellent for the Auckland 1-adies' Amateur Cycling Llub'u race. The fastest time rider was Miss Emily Pile, who bad sucii a large margin to gain that she was practically in a race of her own. She kept up a steady pace until the last lap, which was -done considerably quicker in 2.58. The places were:—Miss I< lossie Wood (2.0), 19.42, 1; -Mrs. Harrison (2.30), 19.18, 2; Miss Emily Pile (scr), 18.48 (fastest time;, 3. THAMES CLUB. The Thames Cycling Club put on a 24mile race on Saturday. The weather was tine and there was? no wind, which wai responsible to some extent for the lowering of the club record time for the distance by nearly two minutes. Results were: — b". Andrews, 2.30, 1 ; C. Cook, 0.15, 2; R. C. Burr, 2.30, 3. The fastest time was done by S. West, G0.12 2-5. Won by haif a length. Another race for the same distance will be contested next Saturday. ROTORUA CLUB. A road race of 17 miles was held by the Rotorua Amateur Cycling Club. The weather was line and the roads in good order. Results:—J. Montague. 2.30. 1; P. Vaughan, 2.30. 2: B. Martin. 2.30, 3. Fastest] time : K. Gre.v, scr, 43.33. HAMILTON CLUB. There were 19 starters in the road cy-lc race conducted by the Hamilton Amateur Sports Club between Hamilton and Eureka and back, a distance of 21 ruiles. The results were as follows: —T. Shaw 1. W. Fenson 2, E. Wallace 3. N. T.entfer (scr) made the fastest time in 55.32. WHAKATANE CLUB.
