FALL FROM TRAIN.

WOMAN'S HEAD INJURIES,

Falling from a moving train at tlic Newmarket station about 3.30 yesterday afternoon, Mrs. J. Pilkington, aged 52, who lives at Captain Springs Road, Te Papapa, suffered head injuries, and was taken to the hospital by the St. John Ambulance. Her condition to-day was reported to be serious, though she spent a comfortable night. Mrs. Pilkington attempted to etep from the train when she discovered it was going to Henderson and not Te Papapa, as she had tV ought. She missed her footing and fell heavily. Condition Still Serious. The condition of Mrs. C. A. R. Sutcliffe, who was knocked down by a motor car yesterday morning at the corner of Park and Grafton Roads, was reported to-day by the hospital authorities still to be serious.
