ROWING.
AUCKLAND CLUB. ANNUAL REUNION. There was a large attendance of members and supporters at the annual reunion and prize-giving of the Auckland Rowing Club held in the Tiffin Rooms on Saturday night. Mr. G. Hogan, president, was in the chair, and the guests included Professor M. Walker, Messrs. Ernest Davis, J. Patterson, W. Hemmingway and D. McPhee. " The Auckland Rowing Association was represented by Mi'. A. C. Norden (chairman) and Mr. A. M. Doull (secretary), and the sister clubs, North Shores (Mr. S. McDuff), St. George's (Mr. S. Sheath), Waitemata (Mr. G. Barker), West End (Mr. A. C. Norden), University (Mr. D. Robinson). In proposing the toast of the Auckland Rowing Association, Professor M. Walker congratulated the governing body upon the successful policy it had pursued, and mentioned how fortunate the oarsmen of Auckland were in having a set of officers who devoted so m.ich time and labour in furthering the interests of the sport on their behalf, and not for their own aggrandisement. Mr. A. C. Norden returned thanks for the association, and briefly outlined the season's activities. He also mentioned that the Auckland Association had made application for the NewZealand championships next season.
