DEBIT BALANCE OF £6791.

The financial statement for the year ended March 31 submitted to the Onehunga Borough Council showed a debit balance of £0791. The principal receipts were: Rates, £27,138 (£28,712); water by meter, £7420 (£7900); heavy traffic licenses, £1015 (£1200); share of petrol tax, £1622 (£1600); Hillsbor' Cemtery, £2289 (£2300); Waikaraka Cemetery, £310 total revenue amounted to £42,9fi2 (£44,921). The approximate amount of outstanding rates is £17,000. The town clerk, Mr. H. A. Yockney. and the staff were accorded a vote of thanks and appreciation for their promptitude in submitting the statement.
