The report of the sixth "Y" conference of the Young People's branch of the W.C.T.U., held in Wellington, proved most encouraging. Miss E. Appleby, conference • "Y" president, presided. Election of officers for the coming year resulted as follows:—Dominion "Y" superintendent, Miss C. M. MeLay, Auckland; conference president, Mr. C. Deans. Christchurch; lion, vice-president, Miss E. Appleby, Auckland; vice-presi-dents, Miss Armit, Dunedin, Mr. T. Reid, Christchurch; recording secretary, Miss J. McKenzie, Christchurch; treasurer, Mr. Syd Guthrie, Southland. The "Y" s]ieecli competition was most interesting, the winner being Mr. Les Clements, Sumner.
