Mr. A. M. Richards, of Takapuna, who recently returned from abroad, was yesterday licensed as a minister by the Presbytery of Auckland.
Jfi-. R. L. Munro, of Hamilton, who was captain of the All Black hockey team which visited Australia in 1932, has taken up an appointment in Fiji.
Mr. Justice Frazer arrived by the Limited this morning to preside at the sitting of thq Court of Arbitration in Auckland. Ho is at the Station Hotel.
Sir William Sinclair Burgess, general ofiicer commanding the New Zealand military forces, arrived from Wellington by the express this morning, and leaves again by the Limited to-night.
Mr. IX A. G. Rutherford, superintendent of schools in Samoa, who with Mrs. Rutherford has been spending his furlough in New Zealand, leaves for Apia by the Maui Poiiiare on Tuesday.
The Rev. W. A. Constable and his wife, tlio Rev. Wilna Constable, who have been joint ministers of the Auckland Unitarian Church for the past five years, leave by the Monowai for Sydney to-day, on their way to England.
The Rev. Alfred Drake, vicar of Hikurangi, leaves Auckland by the Monowai to-day for Sydney, where lie will join the Orient liner Orsova for London. The Rev. D. C. Rates has been appointed to fill Mr. Drake's place during his absence in England.
Dr. and Mrs. F. J. Appleby, of Whakatanc, leave by the'Monowai this afternoon en route to England. Dr. Appleby has received a live months' appointment at a London West End hospital. While there he will represent the Auckland provincial branch of the British Medical Association at a conference.
Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P., chairman of the Parliamentary Monetary Committee, Mr. ,T. W. Munro, M.P., and Mr. F. Langetone, M.P., members of the committee, and Dr. W. B. Sutcli, a member of the secretariat, left for the South by train last evening, the committee having concluded its sittings in Auckland.
