AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION,
At last night's annual meeting of the Auckland Wrestling Association officer* elected wprePatron, Sir George Richardson; president, Mr. George: Henniug; vicepresidents, Messrs. R. T. Reld. S. AustinCarr, J. H. Kinnear, A. Hodgson, A. L. Pike; committee, Messrs- H. M. Warner, R T. Reid, J. H. Kiftriear, A. W. Bunker, G' Heald, C- D. McCready, F. R. Robertshaw, H. .T. Asbby, W. H. Ready, V. Salek, D. F, Macka?, G. Oxsprlng. Mr. G. Henning, who occupied the chair, said"There is no doubt of our sound financial position. Assets are £1008, with liabilities only £51. The association staged over 19 matches, 4s against 15 the previous veaf. There are distinct hopes of a revival of the sport In New South Wales, where It was hoped to establish controlon the same lines as those in New Zealand. The new season holds promise of being the best so far in wrestling In J*ew Zealand. Previously, only a few overseas men have appeared, but It Is expected to have about !15 visitors this year. Among these will be 1 such men as Sonnenberg, Koloff, Santen, i Savage, Mamos, Cheung, a Chinese, and 1 Shikina, of Japan. I A recommendation that the fiew executive try to devise some scheme 'pensation for ton Mtftaerart ' was- approved.
