BOARD OF CONTROL CARLAW PARK IMPROVEMENT LIFE MEMBERSHIP HONOUR. Tlio Auckland Rugby League Board of Control, Mr. E. J. l'lielan presiding In the absence of Mr. G. Grey Campbell, met last evening, when the action of the trustees in accepting the amended tender for the erection ol' the new grandstand at Carlaw l'ark was approved. Mr. l'lielan reported that the excavatlou work on the job was nearing conviction. Various improvements were bring undertaken and for the purpose of llnallslug matters it was proposed that the full board make a general inspection to-morrow morning. This was agreed to. On the notice of motion submitted by Mr. D. Wilkic, Mr. T. Davis, who for five years was a delegate and for eight years secretary of the junior management committee, was elected a life member of the league. • The Newton Bangers and Papakura clubs reported the election of their officers and the executives were approved. The secretary of tlio New South Wales Rugby League (Mr. 11. B. Miller) advised that every facility would l>e given the Auckland chairman, Mr. G. Giey Campbell, during his visit to Sydney to meet Australian administrators of the game. A lengthy conference was held with a deputation from the Primary Schools' Management Com mi tie, headed by the chairman, Mr. K. K. Newport, in connection with policy and development of school grade in the coming season.

ELLERSLIE UNITED CLUB. The annual meeting of tlie above club was held last evening in the club's training slicd before a large attendance. OTAHUHU CLUB. HUNTLY CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Iluntly I.eaL'uc Football Club, Mr. A.
