I NEW SHIP IN PORT. J LOADINGS FOR ENGLAND. The new motor ship Port Chalmers j arrived this morning on her maiden voy- | age. She and (lie. Tuscan Star are j loading for England. A raw sugar cargo front Java is being unloaded at Chelsea. | The next steamer from Sydney will I arrive on Saturday. Port Chalmers arrived from New Plyj mouth this morning to continue loading | for London and Hamburg. She is at the Queen's wharf, and will be dispatched on Saturday for Lyttclton and Wellington to complete. She is to load chilled beef at the latter port, whence she sails on March 24 via. Panama. (11.P.) Tuscan Star arrived from Napier this morning and is berthed at the Central wharf ior final loading for London. She is scheduled to sail on Monday via i Panama. (W. and R. F.) Cape Comoiin is due at daybreak tomorrow from Galveston, Texas, with a bulk cargo of sulphur. CANOPUS IN PORT. The Westport Coal Company's Canopus arrived this morning, and is discharging at the Western wharf. She is to sail this evening for Westport. WAIPAHI SAILS. The Union Company's steamer Waipa.hi left yesterday afternoon for Sydney, Fiji and Nukualofa. She Is due back at Auckland on April 3. THE PORT WHANG ARE I. With cargo from South Island ports and Wellington, the Port Whangarei is to leave Picton to-day for Tauranga, Auckland and Whangarei. She is expected here on Tuesday morning, and leaves here for Southern ports on Friday next v.eek. THE GOI.DEN COAST. The local agents, Henderson and Macfarlane, ha\o received advice that the O. and O. . Line steamer Golden Coast left Los Angeles on March 2 with cargo from Pacific Coast ports for Auckland. Wei linglon arid Australia. She is expected here on March 28. WANGANELLA'S EASTER SERVICE. The liuddart-Parker motor liner Wanganelln is scheduled !o arrive from Sydney on the morning of Tuesday, March 27, and sails later the same day on the return (rip.
