RELIEF ALLOCATIONS

PROTEST AGAINST " CUT." (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) MASTERTON, this day. At a largely attended public meeting held last night to protest against the cut in the allocations to relief workers, a resolution was carried approving of the action of the Mayor in endeavouring to have the cut in the allocations restored, and, further, stating that the time had arrived when the Unemployment Board should be abolished and the fund controlled by voluntary local unemployment committees.
