FIRST WOMAN APPOINTED. (Received 1.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, March 6. President Pv.oosevelt to-day appointed Miss Florence Allen to a judgeship in the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. Miss Allen, who is now in the Ohio Supreme Court, is the first woman to be made a Federal judge. Miss Allen, is aged 50, and comcs from Salt Lake Citv, Utah.
