The fortnightly sale saw the cattle pens well filled. Values were on a par with late quotations. Pigs and store lambs were easier in values. Best dairy heifers, £3 to £4 17/6; others, £2 to £2 15/; heavy prime cows, £3 10/ to £4 5/; medium ditto, £2 15/ to £3 7/6; light ditto, £2 to £2 12/6; forward cows, £1 10/ to £2 2/; boner cows, £1 to £1 8/; aged cows, 10/ to 18/; heifers (been running with bull), £2 to £2 15/; weaner heifers, 10/ to £1 10/; bulls, £2 to £4 12/6, according to condition. Pigs: Large stores, 15/ to £1; slips, 10/ to 14/; weaners, 4/ to 9/. Store lambs: Best. 12/ to 14/; others, 9/6 to 11/6.
