A NEW JOB.
WOMAN APPOINTED,
A woman has been appointed informa tion officer of the Orient Line.
She is Miss Isabel Crowdy, and her job, she explained to tho "News Chronicle" recently, will be to help visitors to make the best possible use of their time in Britain, by having at her finger tips all tne Information they are likely to want. "I must know everything that is going 011 in London —what plays are on, what music is to be heard, what pictures and cinema shows aro to be seen. "Then I shall advise on sight-seeing, shopping, golf, fish, hunting —and, of course, visits to other parts of Britain and tho Continent. "I shall plan routes and advise people where to stay and what to see." Miss Crowdy spent three years in Australia as a secretary to Sir Philip Game, tho Governor of New South Wales, and Mrs. Game, returning to England last year by way of Japan, Honolulu and Canada.
