FIRE PREVENTION.
NATIONAIi WEEK FIXED,
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. An intimation that Parliament had decided to institute a national fire prevention week early in April, was given by the Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Internal Affairs, in addressing the Fire Brigades Conference yesterday. A statement that he had been again able to get financial assistance for the association this year was made by the Minister. Last year £500 was allocated to the association from art union proceeds.
