EXECUTIVE MEETING. WAITEMATA PROTEST. N.Z. SCULLS CHAMPIONSHIP. The fortnightly meeting of the Auckland Rowing Association's executive was held last night, Mr. A. C, Norden presiding. Correspondence was received from the Bayfield (Rotorua), Hamilton and Rotorua Regatta Committees, the Hamilton, Napier, Waitemata, West End and North Shore Rowing Clubs. The secretary was instructed to purchase 12 double-girder oars from Towns, of Sydney. The Waitemata Boating Club advised I that the Smith Shield would be lowed on March 3, at 2.45 p.m.; St. George's Club, the Sir Henry Brett Memorial Cup, at 3.10 p.m., and the Auckland Club, the C'aro Cup,- at 2.15 ji.ni., and the Mason Cup Fours, non-class fours, at 3.45. The various clubs will appoint their own officials for the trophies under their control, and association officials. Mr. H. W. Hudson, judge, and Mr. C. C. Cairns, starter and umpire, for the Mason Fours. The Waitemata Boating Club's protest re the single sculls race at the New Zealand championship was forwarded to the New Zealand Rowing Association. Messrs. H. W.-Hudson and A. M. Douil were appointed the association's judge and representative at the Ngaruawaliia Regatta. . WEST END, CLUB. JUBILEE FUNCTIONS. The West End Rowing. Club's jubilee functions will be continued at the clubhouse, St. Mary's Bay, to-morrow afternoon. Upon tljo members' arrival at 2.15 p.m. they will sign their names in a register and the year of joining the club s At 2.35 p.m., as an expression of reverence and in homage, to "our honoured dead," a wreath will be placed on the roll of honour and a short silence observed in tribute to all West Endcrs who have '•gono before." Then follows the unveiling of two plates ol' polish wood in the clubrooni in acknowledgment"' of the several gift boats donated to the club. A full group photograph of all past and present members will follow. The full plant of boats will then be put afloat and a procession held across tiie boat harbour, after which the., past members will have an opportunity for a spin, and, where practicable, in their former crews. Afternoon tea and social intercourse then concludes the programme. The officers request all West Endcrs to be punctual and thus enable the programme to' out to time. Members arc •urged not to hesitate making themselves known to each other, for no doubt over the long years of separation old members liavp lost trace of one another. In the evening the principal function, the dinner at HoteV Auckland, will be held at 7 p.m., and a big attendance of members past and present are cxpccted to attend.
ST. GEORGE'S CLUB. The St. George's Rowing C'lub will liold the annual trial fours to-morrow afternoon for the Dingley Memorial Cup fours. Tho course alongside the Tamaki Drive will be used.
AUCKLAND CLUB. SCHMIDT TROPHIES. Trial fours for the Schmidt trophies will be rowed by the Auckland Rowing Club to-morrow afternoon. WAITEMATA CLUB. BRIDGETS TROPHIES. The trial fours arranged by the Waitemata Boating Club for to-morrow afternoon. are the Bridgcns trophies. The members are requested to be early in attendance at the boathouse.
