HARBOUR RESCUE.

XJNCONSCIOTTS MAN SAVED. •While working on the motor vessel Baroona, at Freeman's Bay late yesterday afternoon, Mr. A. J. Willetts, aged 67, a widower living at 46, Waterview Road, Stanley Bay, fell into the harbour. He struck his head in the fall and was rendered unconscious. Two Kauri Timber Company employees, Messrs. W. F. Bannester and T. Martin, ran to give assistance. Mr. Bannester dived in fully clothed while Mr. Martin got a rope. Mr. Bannester supported Mr. Willetts in the water until he was hauled on board the Baroona. A third employee of the company, Mr. S. Postlewaight, who is a member of the St.-John Ambulance, resuscitated Mr. Willetts, who was later taken by St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. His condition, which was at first thought to be fairly serious, was reported to-day to be improving.
