TE PUKE CLUB.
At the annual meeting of the Te Puke Athletic Club, the president, Mr. J. McKenzie, referring to finance, stated that the club had gone to a heavy expense in forming the cycle track last year. This, fortunately, would not be a recurring item. Although not a financial success, last year's meeting, from a public point of view, was the best yet held. The election of oilicers resulted : Patron, Mr. R. McPike; president, Mr. J. McKenzie; vice-presidents, Messrs. H. Guy, H. Lowe, C. Chester; timekeeper, Mr. G. Sweetman; starter, Mr. A. Jamieson; handicappers, Messrs. Hardy (chopping), McAneny (running), and J. Persey, C. McNaughton, and F. - Holden (cycling) ; announcer, Mr. E. Hartshorne; committee, president, vice-presidents, secretary, and ( Messrs. F. Holden, E. Hartshorne, F. j Chapman, W. Nicholls, F. Gemming, P. ' Ryan, R. McPike, G. Budge, \V. Pilcher, R. Palmer, D. Broad, W. O. Knight, and H. Cuff; executive committee, Messrs. J. McKenzie, R. McPike, J. P. Ryan, F. Holden, E. Hartshorne, and F. Cumming. | It was decided to hold a sports meeting j on Wednesday, April 4. I
