SHIPPING NEWS.

MARAMA SAILS TO-MORROW. REMUEEA FOB ENGLAND. Loading at the port is particularly busy at the present time, as two more overseas vessels have arrived. Five vessels are now taking on cargo for other parts, including the Marania, which sails for Sydney to-morrow afternoon. The others will be bound for England. Marama sails at 3 p.m. to-morrow from the Queen's wharf, on her return trip to Sydney. She is taking passengers and mails in addition to general cargo. (U.S.S.) Hamari arrived this morning from Opua, and is berthed at the Prince's wharf to continue loading for England. She is to complete her cargo at Nelson and Wellington, sailing finally from the latter port on March 3 via Panama and Kingston. (A.S.P.) Port Napier arrived last evening from Wanganui to complete her cargo for London. She is at the Queen's wharf, and is scheduled to sail on Saturday via Cope Horn. (F.C.A.) Huntingdon, loading for London and west coast ports of Great Britain, is to sail from the Central wharf at 5 o'clock this afternoon for Welington and Bluff to complete. (N.Z.S.) Remuera, loading at the Queen's wharf, is to sail at noon on Saturday for London. She is also taking passengers and mails, and is due at London on March 25. (N.Z.S.) Kanna leaves Greymouth to-night for Auckland, via Wellington. Waimarino was to leave Lyttelton at 11 a.m. to-day for Picton, Wellington and Auckland. Waihemo is due at 4 a.m. on Sunday from Pacific Coast ports, via Nukualofa. After discharging the local portion of her carco she proceeds to Napier, Wellington. CANOPUS DUE. The collier Canopus is due this evening from Westport.. After discharging at the Western wharf she returns to-morrow evening to Westport. PORT WAIKATO'S OVERHAUL. The Port Waikato came out of dock this morning, and is berthed at the Western viaduct to continue her overhaul ana survey. GABRIELLA FROM WESTPORT. The Union Company's Gabriella is expected from West'iort this afternoon, and is to berth at Chelsea. After discharge she proceeds to Newcastle and Sydney to load for New Plymouth, Wanganui and Greymouth. WARSHIPS' MOVEMENTS. The cruisers Dunedin and Diomede and the sloop Laburnum yesterday completed the tiring practice on which they _ hatl beer; engaged since the beginning of the week, and last evening the Laburnum arrived hack in port with the target in tow. Afterwards she. left again to rejoin the cruisers, which have left for Russell. MONOWAI FROM SYDNEY. The Union Company advises that the liner Mono wo 1 is to leave Sydney at /> p.m. to-morrow for Auckland, where she is due on Tuesday morning. She sails the following Thursday on the return trip. DELAYED RY FLOOD. The Northern Company's coastal vessel Toa has been held up outside the Whakatane River on account of flooding, and is entering the river as soon as possible. She is expected hack at Auckland in time to make another trip to Wbakatane at the end of the week. THE MAGDALENE VINNEN. The remaining 1000 tons of guano for New Plymouth aboard the Magdalene Vinnen is being bagged before being landed, and the ship is still working. About midday to-morrow, when discharge should be completed, the barque will take on about 1500 tons of ballast, and 'go into the stream to await orders. When instructions have been received, she will dock for cleaning and painting before leaving port.
