ON 'CHANGE.
BUSINESS IS BRISK. TURNOVER KEEPS UP. Business on the local Stock Exchange is keeping up well, and the market generally has a healthy tone. At this morning's call New Zealand Insurances were quoted ex dividend, with buyers at £2 17/3. Buyers for Pukcmiro Collieries raised their offers to £1 1/6, with holders firm on £1 2/6. Colonial Sugars continued to ease slightly, and a sale was made 2/6 lower, at £62 17/6, after which buyers dropped back to £62 15/. The mining section was active. Waihis recovered 2d, with a sale at £ 1 10/6, and King Solomons were in demand at 4/5. There was again a good demand for Government stocks at current rates. The Noon Call. Business is keeping up, in sympathy with this morning, and a fair number of sales were finalised. A parcel of breweries changed hands at £1 19/11, with buyers at £1 19/9 and holders £2 0/3. New Zealand Refrigerating, contributing, sold at 8/5%, which is a considerable drop from 9/2, the last sale. Quotations now are, buyers 8/4, sellers 8/9. There was fair inquiry in the mining section.
