EAST TAMAKI COIXISION.

The hearing of the claim for damages by a motor cyclist, Douglas McFarlane Hope, mail contractor, of Otahuhu, against Fred Thomas, farmer, of East Tamaki, was completed- at the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon. Plaintiff contended that a collision between his cycle and a motor lorry driven by the defendant, at an intersection oil the Flat Bush Road, East Tamaki, in July last, was due to the negligence of the defendant. He sought £350 general damages and £88 special damages. Th.o case was heard before Mr. Justice Herdman and a jury. Plaintiff was represented by Mr. Schramm, and defendant by Mr. Mahony. The jury found a verdict for the plaintiff, on the ground that defendant had failed to keep a proper look-out, and awarded £75 8/ epecial damages and £100 general damages.
