NO PRIVATE TOUR. N.Z. TRIP BANNED, E. L. WADDY "TURNED DOWN." SYDNEY, February 14. The Board of Cricket Control lias refused a request made by Mr. IS. L. Wuddy for permission to take a private cricket team to New Zealand. Unlike the Marylebone Club, the Australian board does not encourage such teams. It would have incurred no expense. Mr. Waddy has visited New Zealand twice with touriug teams. BRADMAN TRANSFERS. SYDNEY, February 14. Don Bradman confirms the report that lie is going to Adelaide to join a stockbrokiug firm. He will begin his residence there in three weeks' time, so as to qualify to play for South Australia on his return from lingland. He will not be available to play tor New South Wales against Western Australia next week.

OTAHUHU ASSOCIATION. The management committee of the Otahuhu Cricket Association granted permission to the Abattoir team to visit Huntly to try conclusions with a local eleven. . Much discussion took place in connection with the penalising of the captain of a losing team for playing an unregistered player in a game on January '27. A motion that the suspension of two playing Saturdays be lifted was defeated by six votes to four. A number of the delegates were of opinion that there was 110 necessity for the penalty, and notice of motion for the rescinding of the by-law in question was tabled, and will be dealt with at the next meeting. The draw and grounds for Saturday's senior games are: — Sturgcss Park, No. I.—St. .Joseph's v. Keinpthornes. Umpires: Messrs. Fielding and Tucker. Abattoirs, No. 1. —Returned Soldiers v. Hellaby's.
