ALSATIAN DOGS.
OWNER PROSECUTED.

CHRISTCIIURCH, this day.
"I very much doubt the wisdom ofi keeping an Alsatian dog within the limits of the city at all," declared Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court this morning, after hearing evidence on a charge against an Alsatian dog owner of keeping a dangerous dog. The owner of the dog was Herbert Thcakstone Hellish, who was charged .with having an unregistered dog, and also with being the owner of a dog which attacked a girl, endangering life and limb. Defendant was convicted on the nrst count, and was fined £2 and costs 011 the second. The evidence showed that a young o-iii had been bitten after the animal had been caught by a boy in a street where it was loose.
