EX-SERVICEMEN'S PICNIC.
The Onehtinga Ex-Servicemen's Club held its first annual picnic at Tui Glen, there being over 400 present. Though rain fell in the late afternoon an enjoyable day was spent. Theorganisation was in the hand* of Messrs. Vella and Ross. A programme of running events was decided during the day. Races resulted: — Youths: McInnrney 1, German 2. Ladies: Cooper 1, Horseroft 2. Diggers: "Woodcock 1, Phillips 2. Diggers' wives: Mrs. Coon 1. Mrs. Hotere 2. Committee: Woolf 1, Adams 2.
