"'SPORT DOCTORS."
Germany's sports organisation is equipped with "sport doctors." They are physicians who make it their duty to see that young athletes do not undertake exercises likely to do them harm, and that they do not overstrain and thus hurt their development. TheGovernment requires that, all clubs and sport sections shall provide their younger groups with these- sport doctors; consequently the German boy or girl in almost every small town can receive* this medical attention free. This system has been carried further in Bremen. That city has an institution where anyone, young or old, can consult a sport doctor without cost, and receive periodical physical and mental tests at a very email cost. Seldom have such mental tests been so accessible to the average citizeji. They are tests of co-ordination and judgment; tests of the rapidity with which objects can be named; of reading from a, vibrating text; and of using the hands independently, one tracing a triangle and the other a Straight line.
