YIELDS OF COMPANIES. Brian Boru Dredging (near Grcymouth). 560z 18dwt for 118 hours. MANAGERS' REPORTS. Talisman Dubbo (Karangahake). — The drive on No. 1 Talisman level has been advanced 10ft. The liangingwall lias come in hard and turned the root somewhat to the east. The face is showing ISin of highgrade quartz. The rise for ventilation has been put up a further 35ft, total from back of level 04ft. The reef has averaged 12in. and the values have been patchy. The leading stope has been advanced a further 10ft, and an end of ground is being formed lirirn, where, the liangingwall is hard; 24in high-grade quartz showing. Two other stopes are being worked above No. 1 Talisman level in reef of an average width of ISin and of good value.

Big Elver.—For week ending February 1: —No. S level: Stopes in this level produced 41 tons of crushing dirt for week. Faces are somewhat improved. Stone varied from lft to 2ft 3in in width. No. 2 level: Prospecting on Jones Iteef above No. 2 level. Stone showing 3ft wide. Impossible to determine nearness to adjacent old workings. No. 4 level: Crosscut advanced loft for week. Total distance driven 25ft. Nothing to report. Directed to point where No. 3 level cut Henderson's Keef. Main shaft: Repairs not yet completed between No. 1 and No. 2 levels. Battery: One shift daily being worked. Mataki.—Under date the 2nd instant the dreilgemaster reports as follows: Since my last report the dredge has been working well. On Monday last she was taken into the eastern section of the cut to take this ahead preparatory to turning toward the river. I think thit will be far enough ahead by Next Wednesday, when the dredge will be turned towa,rd. the river. The ground on this side is very shallow and in one part it has been necessary to dredge a foot ; of'bottom.- - -
