EDEN DEFEATED. PARNEIiL. ON TOP AGAIN. A FIGHT AGAINST TIME. The seventh series of senior matches in the Auckland Cricket Associations championship concluded on Saturday wit\ wins on the first innings for Parnell, North Shore, l'onsonby and Graftou at the expense of Eden, Y.M.C.A., Kings Old Boys anil University respectively North Shore surpassed the good ecore ot 269 made by Y.M.C.A., and Ponsonbv, with a lead on the first innings at the. start, tried lor the bi« winj but just missed. Facing big scores by Parnell and Grafton, the Eden and Grafton batsmen tried to play out time, and in each case went close to saving the game. The outstanding individual scores of the day were: S!) by Walters (North Shore), 91 bv McMillan (King's College), i 2 by Mills (Mount Eden), 75 by Schnauer (University), GO by Bush (North shore), :\nd 57 by Caughey (King's Old Boys). Clererley (Ponsonby) again put up the best bowling performance of the afternoon were live wickets for 38 runs. Goodsir took four wickets for 51, and M G Vivian four for 65 for Parnell, and Elliott, for Y.M.C.A., got four for 82.
