BILLIARDS TITLE.

PLACE OF CHAMPIONSHIP. (Keceivcd 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, February 2. It is understood that Joe Davis, the British crack player, is communicating with Walter Lindrum, the present holder of the English and Australian titles, anent the venue of the billiards championship, presumably in favour of Australia.

It seems to be taken for granted that if Lindrum enters, as he must, he, McConachy and Davis, and possibly Newman, will all vote for play in Australia.

Lindrum was requested recently to return the championship cup to London with a view to the 1934 championship being held there, and he declined to do so, urging that the championship must be played in Australia before he could be dispossessed of the trophy.
