AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS.

TUESDAY NIGHT'S CARNIVAL.

The Auckland Swimming Centre will conduct the senior provincial ..championships at till Tepid Batlis on Tuesday night. February <>. The star attraction on the programme will he the meeting of Noel Crump, the brilliant intermediate champion of New Zealand, and Bob Frankhani national senior champion, and Reg Thomas, national record holder, in the 100 yds and 220 yds championships. The meeting of this' trio over the distances named, is creat Ing grt'iit Interest among the followers of the sport throughout Hie province. In the ladies' 100 yds and 220 yds championships, Miss Marie Karquhar will defend her" titles against such brilliant girls as Moil a Le.vdon, Bobbie Lewin, Sylvia Grange, Nancy Ludlow and Edna Rainey, the New Zealand intermediate champion. These events ore, therefore, sure to be of an exciting nature. , "Other championship events on the pro gramme include 220 yds men's and ladies' breaststroke. 150.vds men's backstroke. 100 yds ladies' backstroke and the final ..of the men's dive. A full supporting programme of swimming and diving, is scheduled, also a water polo malch between I'arnell and I'oil son by. Nominations for all events close to-day.
