BRITISH STEEL TRADE.
PROPOSED FEDERATION. LONDON, January 29. The "Daily Telegraph" says a vast rationalisation scheme for the iron and steel industry, probably the most farreacbiug ever undertaken in Britain, has been submitted to the Tariff Advisory Board. Thanks to the protective duty on pig iron, its production increased last year by 15 per cent, and that of steel by 30 per cent.'
