FORTY-FOUR GAMES IN SET,
(Received 10 a.m.) LOS ANGELES, January 30. In a lawn tennis contest lasting more than four hours, H. E. Vines defeated W. T. Tilden, 6—o, 21—23, 7—5, 3—6, 6—2. Vines won seven matches on tour, to four victories by Tilden.
