TE KORERO FOR BOY SCOUTS

(By MICHAEL.)

Working Party Wanted. In order to prepare the Oratia site for the cub course at Easter, a -working party is being arranged there this weekend. Any members of the recent Gilwell course who would care to participate are invited to communicate with "Mike" as soon as possible.

Cornwell Picnic. The Cornwell boys had a royal time on Anniversary Day when the committee folk arranged a picnic at the Henderson Domain. There were 22 boys all told, with G.S.M. Ralph in charge. Swimming, of course, was a popular item, but there was still time for a comprehensive sports programme as well as a game of cricket. Field activities were the subject of an inter-patrol competition m which the bulls proved themselves the victors. Much or the work was shouldered by the ladies of the committee, who provided sports prizes as well as sweets and similar refreshments.

The party arrived home at 7.30 p.m., tired but ready for more. No doubt this year's success will cause this to be an annual event.
