THE WORLD'S WHEAT.
Bigger European Crop, Less
In America.
SURPLUS STOCKS QUESTION,
(Received 1.3-0 p.m.)
LONDON, January 29,
After reviewing the world situation for two months, the Wheat Advisory Committee concluded that exports in 193,1 must be much larger in order to enable substantial progress to be made in the liquidating of surplus stocks, which are at present depressing the
market. Examination of the final estimates confirmed the earlier anticipation that the European crop for the season 193334 will be phenomenally large, offsetting the meagre North American crop.
The committee has commenced dis cussing means of price fixation and in creased consumption.
