SAFE BLOWN OPEN.

BURGLARY AT O AMARU. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) OAMARU, this day. Between Saturday night and this morning a thief or thieves broke into the office of the Oamaru gas department, blew open the safe, and stole about £20. The discovery was made when the office was opened this morning. The burglars gained entrance through a side window, which was jemmied open. The strongroom door was forced open and the safe blown with gelignite.
