HOLLYWOOD, December 20. j It was at a big Hollywood party. There were 172 stars, camera-men, producers, and directors there. In a dull moment somebody suggested taking an opinion of what constituted the attributes of the ideal cinema star. Here is the result:— The "perfect male," physique,-Johnny Weissmuller; hair, Charles Farrell; eyes, William Powell; voice, Leslie Howard; nose, Richard Barthelmess; mouth, Robert Montgomery; dress, Adolphe Menjou; personality, Maurice Chevalier; hands, Warren William; sex appeal, Clark Cable; dancing, Jimmy Cagney; singing, Dick Powell. The "perfect fomale," height, Joan Blondcll; personality, Mae West; hair, Barbara Stanwyck; eyes, Margaret Lindsay; nose, Greta Garbo; mouth, Clara Bow; complexion, Ann Dvorak; hands, Tallulah Bankhead; feet, Bette Davis; sex appeal, Jean Harlow; voice, Ruth Cliattcrton; ability to wear clothes, Lilj'an Tashman; dancing, Ruby Kcelcr; walking, Kay Francis. Marleno Dietrich and Katharine Hepburn, it should bo noticed, arc not included.
