RESCUE STATION OPENED AT ENGLISH MINE.—In view of the tragic mining disaster reported in Czecho-Slovakia, this picture is of particular interest. Following on recent mining disasters in England, a rescue station has been opened at the Lancashire and Cheshire mines at Boothstown, where a permanent rescue staff will be maintained. Members of the rescue staff, wearing their equipment, practising "rescue word" in a model mine gallery attached to the station.
