FAT STOCK SALE.

PUKEKOHE, Friday.

There was only a small yarding of dairy cattle at -Messrs. Alfred, Buckland and| Son's Pukekohe sale yesterday, while values were lower than recent sales. Beef cattle were yarded in average numbers, and valueswere firm. Best dairy cows and heifers, close to profit, brought from £4 10/ up to £4 15/; medium quality dairy cows and heifers, close to profit, £3 to £4; while backward sold at £1 to £1 15/. In the beef section heavy cows brought from £4 15/ to £5 2/6; lighter cows, £3 5/ to £4 2/6; boners, £1 to £1 17/; extra prime heifers sold at £3 5/ to £4 3/; medium prime heifers, £2. to £3. No heavy prime steers were yarded, but light prime realised £5 5/; four-year-old steers, £4 10/; 2% to 3-year-old steers, £3 9/; Jersey calves, 24/ to 27/6; potter bulls, £1 to £3-17/6. , . There was an average yarding of pigs, with values fully up to late Westfield Heavy choppers realised from 31/ up to £2; others, £.1. upwards. No extra heavy baconers were yarded, but best baconers made. from £ 2 10/ to £2 15/; light and medium baconers, £2 3/ to £2 9/; heavy porkers sold at' from £1 16/ to £2 1/; medium porkers, £1 13/ to. £1 15/; light porkers, £1 8/ to £1 11/; small and unfinished, £1 2/ to £1 7/; large stores brought from £l 1/ to £1 5/; slips, 18/ to £1; beat weaners, 13/ to 16/; others, 8/ upwards. Sows with litters, £2 to £5; sows due to farrow, £2 5/ to £2 6/.
