SCOW ON SANDSPIT.

LYTTELTON, this day. The scow Ngaliau grounded on the north spit of the Waimakariri River again last evening on a return trip from Banks Peninsula to Kaiapoi, and is still there. A further effort to get the vessel off will be made this evening. Visibility was very bad last evening when the scow grounded, but no damage was done. The cargo of sheep will be unloaded this afternoon.
