JUTLAND SEQUEL.
ADMIRAL TURNS CHAPLAIN.
LONDON, December 29.
A rear-admiral who entered the | Church because of a "supernatural ! revelation" received while signalling the fleet at the battle of Jutland, preached his first sermon to a congregation of seven in the slums of London's dockland during Christmas. He was Rear-Admiral Alexander Woods, D.5.0., who among other appointments held the office of captain of the dockyard and King's harbour master at Portsmouth. \ After retiring fiom the Navy in 1931 he entered a theological college, and was recently ordained by the Bishop of London. Ho immediately took up duties as chaplain to a seamen's home in Whitechapel, iiving and working among the seas of human flotsam and jetsam. Except to state that he is "under orders," Rear-Admiral Woods refuses to speak of his experiences. A sister, however, told the "Daily Express" that he received an interposed signal at Jutland which "came from no earthly captain but the Higher Command."
