KING'S TRIUMPH.

CHRISTMAS RADIO MESSAGE,

LONDON", December 29.

Apparently the Seychelles Islands were the only part of the Empire which, fiii'ed to hear the King's speech on Christmas Day, atmospherics blotting out the whole programme.

Tho "Daily Express" radio critic, congratulating the 8.8.C. on its showmanship and the organisation of the Empire programme, says tho King's message was human and sincere, and provided a model in natural diction to many regular broadcasters.

"I venture to suggest," he writes, "that tho greatest actor in the world could not have approached the fervour and deep sincerity of the concluding words of tho King to his people, 'God bless you.' "
