SMALL YACHT WRECKED.

ACCIDENT AT WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph.—Press AssoclatfDn.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Shortly after six o'clock last evening the captain of the ferry steamer Mirritai noticed a email yacht with four people in it in the harbour. On the return journey of the Muritai the captain saw a yacht ashore near Point Halswell, and believed it to be the one he had seen before. He notified the police, and upon investigation it was found the boat was of the 12ft flat-bottomed type. One side had beβn battered in, and the indications were that the boat had been tied to the rocks. This evening the police received a message from a man who stated he was a member of the crew of the boat. He stated the other members were safe, but refused to give their names or any particulars of the mishap.
