GAMING CHARGES.
THREE MIEN REMANDED. TWO FOUND ON PREMISES. After simultaneous raids by detectives on three suspected gaming houses yesterday, five men appeared before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., in the Police Court this morning. Percival Henry Jackson, a painter, aged 52, and George Henry Brooks, a caretaker, aged 39, were each fined £3 on charges of being found in a common gaming house. Jack Johnson, a tobacconist, aged 44, Gordon William Reach, a stationer, aged 2G and William Thomas Osmond, a tobacconist, aged 33, each charged with keeping premises as a common gaming house, were remanded until January 10. Bail was allowed in each case.
