AUCKLAND MEETING. CONCLUDING DAY'S RESULTS. T. SMITH'S GREAT RECORD. The Auckland Trotting Club's summer rneeting was brought to a close on Saturday in beautiful weather. The feature of the programme was the fine performance put up by the Takanini trainer, P. J. Smith, whose stable supplied five ■winners during the afternoon. In the three day 3 Smith had ]1 winners, four seconds and fire thirds, and 10 of the ■winners he drove himself. It was a remarkable performance for a metropolitan ■meeting. The Totalisator. During the day the sum of £22,324 5/ was put through the totalisator, compared with £2-5,252 5/ for the corresponding day last year, a decrease of £2728. This made a total for the meeting of £75,548 15/, against £75.729 lor the previous summer fixture, a decrease of £3150 5/. The opening event, the Tamaki Trot, ■was won by an outsider in Mountain Sun, who was followed home by Golden Eagle and TCnini Anita Fame, the favourite, coupled with Rare Rey, won the Park Handicap from -Jester and Kia Kan a.
