JAPAN CELEBRATES.
BIRTH OF HEIE TO THRONE. TOKYO, December 29. To mark the birth on December 23 of a son and heir to the Japanese Imperial Throne a nation-wide jubilation began at daylight. Brilliant sunshine flooded the city, which was beflagged. Elaborate ancient ceremonies will be observed. , Warships will fire Royal salutes for the young Prince, whose name is Akihito " Tsugo No Miya, meaning "enlightened," "benevolence," and "succession."
