Britain Enters New Year With Flying Start. BEST SEASON.. SINCE 1923. (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, December 29. The "Yorkshire Observer" says that this is the first end of year since 1023 when trado enters the New Year with a. big volume of orders, assuring a flying start and keen activity for at least three months. It is pointed out that unemployment is at the lowest figure since 1927, and wages are tho highest since 1920, also that tho export trade has expanded when most national competitors are Buffering a decrease.
