GIRL SHOT IN BACK.

ACCIDENT AT INVERCARGILL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) IXVERCARGILL, Friday. A bullet wound in the back was suffered to-day by Muriel Campbell, aged 13, of Edendale. The girl was sitting on a window sill at her aunt's residence at Ryalbush. Her cousin was shooting birds and, in some way not yet known, she was struck by a bullet. The girl was taken to the hospital, where an operation was performed, and her condition has shown improvement.
